Hertz Classics exclusively rents out the most beautiful classic convertibles of the 50s and 60s. The main focus of our business activities is the handling of incentives. In addition to the rental of the classic cars, we create routes on request, develop roadbooks and provide professional timekeeping. We organize across Europe – from half-day to weekend tours and longer. A proven team with an affinity for oldtimers and rally experience is on hand for the organization, supervision of the daily schedule and servicing of the vehicles.
The vehicles are also available to individual customers at any time for trips, weddings or for personal occasions.
All vehicles comply with the classic car classification grade 2.
Rienhoff GmbH has been a Hertz franchisee in Austria for almost 40 years and in Slovenia since 2013.
In 2014, the first Hertz Classics station worldwide opened in Vienna. With a mixture of convertibles from the 50s to the 70s from Germany, England, Italy and the USA in collector condition, the most exclusive rental classic fleet in Europe was purchased. All vehicles are in impressive collector condition and meet classic car classification 2. Many of these wonderful vehicles were highlights of Hertz’s long model history.
All our classic cars are for self-driving and enjoyment. Driving a classic car is like stepping back in time.
The pioneer of car rental, Walter L. Jacobs, opened a car rental business in Chicago in September 1918 at the age of 22. He started with a dozen Ford T models, which he repaired and painted himself. Jacobs expanded his operation within five years to a business with annual sales of about $1 million. In 1923, Jacobs sold his business to John D. Hertz, president of Yellow Cab and Yellow Truck and Coach Manufacturing Company. Jacobs retained operational and administrative control of the company.
Hertz grew to become the world’s leading company in the rental car business, operating more than 8,100 rental stations in some 150 countries. No other provider is used more frequently by private and business customers. Hertz sets standards with its products and services such as the Hertz #1 Club Gold loyalty program, the specially developed Hertz NeverLost portable navigation system, SIRIUS satellite radio and a fleet of vehicles tailored to the needs of its customers.
Hertz reservation centers handle approximately 40 million calls worldwide and make approximately 30 million reservations per year.
